Photographing Children Policy

Clickety Click realise how important it can be to have photographs of children, especially at events created especially for their enjoyment. However it is important to remember that in this day and age the development of a multimedia environment has made the inappropriate use of photographs much easier. To prevent this Clickety Click have implemented a “Child Protection Policy” so that we can continue to take memorable photos while considering the safety of everyone concerned.

General Points

• Clickety Click photographers will have a criminal record (CRB) check.
• Clickety Click will publish photos of children on the internet in secure, password protected folders if requested by event organisers/parents.
• If photos of children are used on the Clickety Click website, in portfolios or on marketing media then the written consent of parents will be obtained prior to their use. The name of a child will never be published alongside these images.

At Events

• Clickety Click photographers will wear a name badge at all times displaying the company logo.
• Before photographers photograph children they will ask parents to fill in a consent form. If possible these will be distributed before the event or at the event entrance.
• Clickety Click will not photograph children at an event without an appropriate adult (e.g. parent/guardian) present.
• Clickety Click are happy for event organisers to arrange further record checks of their staff if they feel it is necessary.

Portrait Shoots

• Clickety Click require a parent or guardian to be present if undertaking a photoshoot of a child under the age of 16.
• For young adults aged 16 – 18 written parental consent to undertake a photoshoot is required.
• Clickety Click will not put themselves in a one to one situation with any minors.
